19 <br /> City Clerk <br /> DATE: 6/10/2024 <br /> MEMO: <br /> TO: Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe <br /> City Council Members <br /> FROM: Tim Gleason,City Manager <br /> Kim Althoff,City Clerk <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending City Code Chapter 52,Alcoholic Liquor <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff requests that Council pass the proposed ordinance amendment regarding Chapter 52, <br /> Section 4 related to license classification and Section 17 related to hours. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Staff has received a request from GK9 to extend the hours that the sale of alcoholic liquor can be sold for consumption on or off <br /> the licensed premises until 12:00 A.M. GK9 holds a Class L license which currently authorizes the sale of alcoholic liquor to be <br /> sold for the consumption of alcoholic liquor on or off the licensed premises until 10:00 P.M.The Class L license is limited to two <br /> (2).Murphy&Co is the holder of the other Class L license.The Class L license is limited to the B-4 Central Business District of <br /> downtown Decatur. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known or expected objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Patrick McDaniel,Decatur Local Liquor Control Commissioner <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Description Type <br /> Ordinance Ordinance <br />
