Matt Newell will attend the City Council meeting to answer any questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: As previously discussed,the net effect on water rates is expected to be on the order of 5%.For example,the <br /> current monthly user charge for an average residence is$27.50 would increase that monthly user charge to$28.88 in order to fund <br /> the debt service. <br /> On July 2,2024,there was a kickoff meeting for the USEPA no-cost technical assistance program,which will be evaluate long <br /> term strategies to finance needed capital improvements while keeping rates affordable.The service provider is Raftelis <br /> Corporation,a highly respected consulting firm specializing in utility financial analysis.
