RESOLUTION NO. 2024 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY OF DECATUR TO ACCEPT PROPOSAL FROM <br /> G&H MARINE,INC. FOR DOCK REMOVAL AND ADDITIONAL BOAT SLIP <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur issued requests for bids for the Nelson Park Harbor <br /> Improvements Dock System for City Patrol Boats("Project")in March 2024; and, <br /> WHEREAS, G & H Marine, Inc. was the successful bidder for the Project and was <br /> awarded a contract for the furnishing and installation of a dock system for Lake Patrol boats in <br /> May 2024; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur desires to add an additional slip to the Project for the use <br /> of the Fire Department of the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur is an Illinois home rule community and believes it to be <br /> in the best interest of the City to award the construction and installation of an additional slip to <br /> the Project to G & H Marine, Inc. without further bids to ensure aesthetic and functional <br /> consistency to the Project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the G & H Marine, Inc. bid in the amount of $31,400.00 presented <br /> herewith to the City Council is hereby,received, placed on file, approved and attached as Exhibit <br /> A. <br /> Section 2.
