INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None
STAFF REFERENCE: James Edwards,IT Director,(217)450-2236
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS:
Costs associated with fulfillment of this agreement will be paid from available fiber optic build funds in fund 77.
A very small risk exists where the city 2-inch conduit could get caught on something under the lake as it is being pulled and not
make it to the other side with the SDD forced main pipe. If this happens, the city will be liable for time and materials expended up
to the point it becomes disconnected from the 14-inch forced main pipe and SDD will charge us a reduced cost, whatever that is.
Based on my research, this happening is nearly nonexistent and did not happen in five separate cases I investigated.
ATTACHMENTS:
Description Type
Resolution Resolution Letter
