Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Purchasing Order between the City of Decatur, Illinois and Landmark Ford Inc. For State of Illinois Contract#Boss-B-37575, for Three(3) Ford Electric SUVs . 2. Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Purchasing Order between the City of Decatur, Illinois and Morrow Brother's Ford Inc. for State of Illinois Contract 21- 416CMS-Boss4-B-21143 for One(1)F250 Work Truck, One (1)F350 Heavy-Duty Work Truck, and Two (2)Hybrid F-150 Work Trucks. 3. Resolution Authorizing Execution of a Purchasing Order between the City of Decatur, Illinois and Altorfer, Inc for BidBuy Contract for One(1) CAT 265-05 Compact Track Loader. SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Resolutions authorizing the execution of(3) separate purchase orders for support vehicles and equipment using 100% grant funding. Transit has done well in replacing Revenue vehicles over the last few years, however, our support vehicles are also in need of replacement. All the recommended vehicles will replace existing vehicles that are past useful life. The mix of diesel,hybrid, and fully electric will complement our fleet resiliency and Zero-Emission goals. The Transportation Services Department has aging support vehicles and equipment that are past useful life. We recommend purchasing the following: 1. 3 EV Ford SUVS $136,662 IDOT Rebuild III Grant to replace 3 gas supervisor vehicles past useful life. 2. 1 CAT Compact Track Loader$87,523 FTA Grant to replace our 1989 forklift and will give staff more versatility of use. 3. The F350 $99,443 and F250 $70,478 will replace a 1991 International truck and 2000 B250 maintenance work truck,using FTA Grant. The 2 Hybrid F-150s $125,942 IDOT Rebuild III Grant to replace 2 gas work trucks. BACKGROUND: City Council approved the purchase of support vehicles and equipment in the 2024 City Budget.
