Exhibit A
SCOPE OF WORK
The services to be provided for the Project are as follows:
TELEVISED PIPELINE INSPECTION/SURVEY
A. A color television camera capable of insertion into 100% humidity conditions will be used for this
project. The camera head is capable of panning 2701 and tilting 3600 and the iris, focus and light
source are all remote controlled, to look directly at problem areas, as well as up service
connections. The camera will be transported through the lines on a remote-controlled transporter
at approximately 30 feet per minute, stopping at problem areas to ensure proper logging of data.
B, The data collected, stored and downloaded to the city mainframe will be in a MPEG digital format
compatible with the current City of Decatur Engineering Software. The digital format will allow City
Engineers to observe recorded features and conditions that will assist in the evaluation of the data
collected and become a part of the final report. All inspection crews are PACP Certified. TSI shall
use Granite Net with ESR( module and the scoring module by Cues, Inc.
C. Traffic control and protection for the project shall be in accordance with IDOT Highway Standard
701606.01. Daytime operations are proposed for the work.
STORM/SANITARY SEWER CLEANING
A. A high velocity sewer cleaning and vacuum combination truck will be used. Cleaning shall be
accomplished by using a pump capable of delivering 80 GPM at 2,500 PSL All debris from the
cleaning process will be removed with the Vac System. The City of Decatur will supply water and
dump site for any solids gathered.
MANHOLE INVESTIGATION
A. A physical/visual investigation of each manhole using all necessary safety equipment. The
investigation will include obtaining all data required to evaluate each manhole for structural
integrity, inflow/infiltration problems, flow characteristics and environmental conditions. Including
all necessary dimensions.
SMOKE/DYE TESTING
A. Insertion of an inert type of smoke bomb of three-minute duration into manholes by means of a
3.,000 cfm or larger blower. Logging of data including color photos of locations and/or smoke
observed.
B. Application of vegetable-based dye into storm/sanitary systems for investigation of cross
connections and/or sanitary effluent traveling to creeks, rivers and/or lakes, house service and sink
holes. Dye testing is covered under our emergency inspection/survey.
