RESOLUTION NO. —a� C( <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONSOLIDATED RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE AND <br /> SAFETY IMPROVEMENT GRANT AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION <br /> ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BRUSH COLLEGE ROAD <br /> OVER FARIES PARKWAY AND THE NORFOLK SOUTHERN RAILROAD TRACKS <br /> CITY PROJECT 2009-33 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur endeavors to improve a segment of Brush College Road by <br /> construction of a grade separation at Faries Parkway, <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of said improvement has necessitated the use of Federal funds, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal fund source is through a Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety <br /> Improvement Grant, administered by the Federal Railroad Administration,which requires a match of <br /> non-federal funds, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal funding requires a Grant Agreement with the Federal Railroad <br /> Administration. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois authorizes Grant Agreement <br /> Number 69A36524420080CCDIL for Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) in Consolidated Rail <br /> Infrastructure and Safety Improvement Grant Funds for Construction Engineering services for the <br /> aforementioned project known as City Project 2009-33. <br /> Section 2.
