MACON COUNTY BOARD RESOLUTION <br /> ENTERING INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF DECATUR <br /> FOR TRANSPORTATION CONSULTING <br /> RESOLUTION NO.:G-5861-12-25 <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Macon ("County") and the City of Decatur, Illinois ("City") are <br /> units of local government as defined by Article VII of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, <br /> and public agencies, as defined by the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act (5 ILCS 220/1 et. <br /> seq.), and are therefore authorized and empowered to enter into intergovernmental agreements <br /> whereby they may share services and expenses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County and the City have transportation needs and goals, including the <br /> improvement of such for their residents, businesses, and visitors; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County and the City desire to seek and utilize funding opportunities from <br /> alternative sources; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City is negotiating a Consulting Services Agreement with Aim L. Schneider <br /> and Associations LLC ("ALSA Agreement") to provide services relating to the transportation <br /> needs and goals of the City and the County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County and the City desire to share the expenses in the pursuit of their <br /> transportation needs and goals; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County and the City agree that the following terms and conditions will <br /> promote efficiency and economy in their shared goals. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the following provisions, the County Board <br /> authorizes the County Board Chairman to sign the attached agreement. <br /> PRESENTED,PASSED,and APPROVED this 11th day of December, 2025. <br /> AYES 9 NAYS 0 MACON COUNTY BOARD <br /> MACON COUNTY,ILLINOIS <br /> ATTEST: BY: <br /> Josh T. er,Cler for the Kevin R.
