ORDINANCE NO.4P( <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 51.4- <br /> LOCAL MOTOR FUEL TAX <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 51.4 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and <br /> the same is hereby modified and amended by adding and deleting language to Section 2(b) and <br /> deleting Section 12. Said Section 2(b) as so modified, amended and added, shall provide as <br /> follows: <br /> 2. IMPOSITION OF TAX. <br /> (b) There is levied and imposed upon the privilege of using or consuming motor fuel that <br /> is purchased at retail or bulk within the corporate limits of the City, a motor vehicle fuel tax, <br /> irrespective of the unit of measure in which it is actually sold, at a rate of five cents ($0.05)per <br /> gallon for diesel fuel from and after April 1, 2026. <br /> SECTION 2.
