ORDINANCE NO. .0&(1)-O8 ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2006-100 ADOPTING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING FOR THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS (EASTGATE COMMONS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA) WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, adopted Ordinance No. 2006-100 on November 6, 2006, approving the Eastgate Commons Redevelopment Project Area and adopting tax increment financing; and WHEREAS, Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2006-100 establishes the term of the Redevelopment Project Area and references a completion date of December 31,2040; and WHEREAS,the City Council desires to correct the referenced year to December 31, 2030. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, as follows: Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2006-100 is hereby amended by deleting the reference to "December 31, 2040" and replacing it with "December 31, 2030". Section 2. If any provision of this Ordinance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions of this Ordinance. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PRESENTED, PASSED,APPROVED AND RECORDED this 2nd day of February 2026.
