Council Memo <br /> Public Works Department <br /> No. 2026-12 <br /> DATE: 1/20/2026 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Melissa Hon,Interim City Manager <br /> Matt Newell,Director of Public Works <br /> Kelly Harrison,Procurement Officer <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Resolution Authorizing a Sourcewell Contract for the Purchase of Four(4)Dump Trucks <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding a Sourcewell Contract in the amount of <br /> $858,920.00 to Midway Freightliner Inc. for(4)2027 Freightliner 108SD Dump Trucks upfitted by Woody's <br /> Municipal. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Public Works Department has budgeted four(4)new dump trucks to replace four(4)existing dump trucks <br /> due to age and condition. <br /> The trucks being replaced are: <br /> #259 2018 Mack Granite GU432 with 6340 hours. <br /> #264 2018 Mack Granite GU432 with 7144 hours. <br /> #257 2019 International 7400 with 10268 hours. <br /> #277 2009 International 7400 with 8239 hours. <br /> The replacement trucks are estimated to be delivered in August 2026. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The replaced trucks will be sold or auctioned. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: There are no contracts for Legal to review. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> None <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Fleet Maintenance wrote bid specifications based on Public Works Department requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matthew Newell,Public Works Director,Byron Bowman,Municipal Services <br /> Manager. Matthew Newell will be in attendance to answer any questions. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Funds have been allocated in the 2026 budget for the replacement of <br /> these 4 dump trucks. The Sourcewell Contract amount is $858,920.00 to Midway Freightliner Inc. for(4)2027 <br />
