() MACQUEEN Pleice <br /> ILLINOIS INDIANA MINNESOTA MISSOURI NEBRASKA NORTH DAKOTA SOUTH DAKOTA <br /> Clarifications <br /> We offer the following clarifications to our proposal: <br /> 1. Single Source Manufacturer—Your apparatus will be built by Pierce Manufacturing at <br /> their main facilities in Appleton, Wisconsin. <br /> 2. The approximate length of the proposed apparatus is 46 feet, 11.50 inches long. <br /> 3. The approximate height of the proposed apparatus is 12 feet, 3.00 inches tall. <br /> 4. Weight Review: The final weight review will be done after the preconstruction <br /> conference when all vehicle changes, modifications, additions, and deletions are <br /> finalized. <br /> 5. Apparatus Drawing: A "D" size or 24" x 36" drawing of the reference proposed <br /> apparatus will be supplied. A more detailed drawing will be made for your review if we <br /> are favored with the order. <br /> 6. Inspection trips are included with this proposal as follows: <br /> a. A preconstruction meeting at the Pierce factory in Appleton, Wisconsin for up to <br /> three (3) members of the purchaser is included with this proposal. <br /> b. A final construction inspection meeting at the Pierce factory in Appleton, <br /> Wisconsin for up to three (3) members of the purchaser is included with this <br /> proposal <br /> c. A final delivery inspection at the MacQueen service facility in Washington, Illinois <br /> for up to three (3) members of the purchaser is included with this proposal. <br /> d. In addition to the inspection trips, weekly photos of your apparatus in production <br /> will be sent to the committee for their review. <br /> 7. Pierce® designs, engineers, and manufactures the complete apparatus in its facilities <br /> in Appleton, Wisconsin and Bradenton, Florida. Pierce® is responsible to ensure all <br /> components of the cab, chassis, body, tank, and pumping system integrate at every <br /> level of the manufacturing process. Unlike some other manufacturers who`but-source" <br /> their chassis or cabs, Pierce®provides a single point of responsibility for warranty <br /> and liability. <br /> 8. Service after the sale is a prime consideration for evaluating a proposal. Your <br /> apparatus will be serviced by our local authorized Pierce® warranty and service <br /> center in Illinois and Missouri. Service at your location is accomplished by one of <br /> our several road service units with EVT certified mechanics. Parts are available <br /> through our parts centers in the Midwest or one of our other maintenance facilities <br /> where we maintain over$5,000,000 of parts in stock and ready for prompt dispatch. <br /> 9.
