COUNCIL MEMO <br /> EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT <br /> NO. 2026-03 <br /> DATE: March 2, 2026 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Melissa Hon, City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing Expenditure of Funds for the City of Decatur City <br /> Council Community Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2026 <br /> BACKGROUND: Due to an increase in requests for funding from various organizations <br /> in the community, the City Council desires to establish an open and equitable process to <br /> award funding. In the FY26 budget the City Council approved$70,000 in Community <br /> Contribution funding (pg. 46, account#10430392-445060). <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Staff is not aware of any objection. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Melissa Hon at mhon@decaturil.gov <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: This is a budgeted item in the FY26 Adopted <br /> Budget,pg. 46, account#10430392-445060. <br />
