Council Memo <br /> Public Works Department <br /> No. 2026-26 <br /> DATE: 3/2/2026 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Melissa Hon, City Manager <br /> Matt Newell,Director of Public Works <br /> Byron Bowman, Municipal Services Manager <br /> Chris Bergschneider,Fleet Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Resolution Accepting the State of Illinois Joint Purchasing Holder Bid Price of Morrow Brothers Ford, <br /> Inc. for the Purchase of One Ford F-450 Truck and Upfit <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Resolution <br /> approving a contract in the amount of$108,997.00 to Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. accepting the State of Illinois <br /> joint purchasing contract bid price of Morrow Brothers for one(1)Ford F-450 truck including upfit costs. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Municipal Services Division of Public Works has requested one(1)new vehicle to replace one (1) existing <br /> vehicle. The vehicle being replaced is#236, 2008 Ford F-450 with 7,263 hours. The upfit will include warning <br /> lights, steel dump bed and snow plow. <br /> The vehicle is being replaced due to age and condition. <br /> The replacement vehicles are estimated to be delivered within 8-10 weeks. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The old unit will be auctioned. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: There are no contracts for Legal to review. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> None <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications based on Municipal Services requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, Public Works Director, Byron Bowman, Municipal Services <br /> Manager. Matt will be in attendance to answer any questions. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Funding for these expenditures are included in the FY2026 budget. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br />
