Director SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing Execution and Agreement of State FY2027 Transit Downstate Operating Assistance Program (DOAP) Grant Agreement. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that this item be approved. BACKGROUND: The City of Decatur applies to the Illinois Department of Transportation each year for a Transit Operating Assistance Agreement to assist with funding the operations of transportation. The Transit Operating Assistance Agreement now provides 80% reimbursement to the City of Decatur for operational expenses, an increase from the previous 65% reimbursement rate. The agreement amount to the City of Decatur is up to $ $14,196,800 with the City of Decatur now only responsible for providing 20% matching funds. Currently,the City of Decatur utilizes the 5307and 5311 Federal Transportation Administration(FTA) funds as 20%match for transit operations. POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Staff is not aware of objections.
