Director <br /> SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing Execution and Agreement of State FY2027 Transit <br /> Downstate Operating Assistance Program (DOAP) Grant Agreement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that this item be approved. <br /> BACKGROUND: The City of Decatur applies to the Illinois Department of <br /> Transportation each year for a Transit Operating Assistance Agreement to assist with <br /> funding the operations of transportation. The Transit Operating Assistance Agreement <br /> now provides 80% reimbursement to the City of Decatur for operational expenses, an <br /> increase from the previous 65% reimbursement rate. The agreement amount to the City of <br /> Decatur is up to $ $14,196,800 with the City of Decatur now only responsible for <br /> providing 20% matching funds. Currently,the City of Decatur utilizes the 5307and 5311 <br /> Federal Transportation Administration(FTA) funds as 20%match for transit operations. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: Staff is not aware of objections. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Should the City Council have any questions; they may contact <br /> Lacie Elzy at 217-542-3559/lelzy(a,decaturil.gov or Miranda Lambert at 217-859-2406/ <br /> mlambert@decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Authorizes the execution and agreement of State <br /> FY2027 Transit Downstate Operating Grant Agreement with IDOT. <br />
