The City has partnered with the Decatur Park District and other community
partners to carry out this effort and identify priority planting locations.
As part of the ongoing implementation of this grant, City staff solicited bids for the delivery and
planting of 100 trees. Oak Bros Tree Care & Removal submitted a bid in the amount of$60,000
for the delivery and planting of the trees. The cost of this work will be fully reimbursed through
the USDA Tree Grant program in accordance with the grant agreement.
POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None anticipated.
STAFF REFERENCE: Should the City Council have any questions, they may contact Lacie
Elzy, at 217-542-3559 or Lelzy@decaturil.gov
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: The cost of this project will be reimbursed through the
USDA Grant program.
