Council Memo <br /> Public Works Department <br /> No. 2026-37 <br /> DATE: 4/6/2026 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Melissa Hon, City Manager <br /> Matt Newell,Director of Public Works <br /> Byron Bowman, Municipal Services Manager <br /> Chris Bergschneider, Fleet Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Resolution Accepting the State of Illinois Joint Purchasing Holder Bid Price of Morrow Brothers Ford, <br /> Inc. for the Purchase of Two Ford Maverick Trucks <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Resolution <br /> approving a contract in the amount of$67,090.00 to Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. accepting the State of Illinois <br /> joint purchasing contract bid price of Morrow Brothers for two (2) Ford Maverick Trucks. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Parking Enforcement has requested two (2)new vehicles to replace two (2) existing vehicles. The vehicles <br /> being replaced are: <br /> 1. #852, 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer with 107,508 miles. The vehicle is being replaced due to age and <br /> condition. <br /> 2. #853, 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer with 119,882 miles. The vehicles is being replaced due to age and <br /> condition. <br /> The replacement vehicles are estimated to be delivered within 8-10 weeks. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The old units will be auctioned. <br /> LEGAL REVIEW: There are no contracts for Legal to review. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> None <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: <br /> Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications based on Parking Enforcement requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell, Public Works Director, Byron Bowman, Municipal Services <br /> Manager. Matt will be in attendance to answer any questions. <br />
