RESOLUTION NO.f f vX <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID AND AUTHORIZING <br /> 1 HE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH BURDICK PLUMBING AND HEATING <br /> COMPANY, INC. FOR THE GALVANIZED WATER SERVICE LINE REPLACEMENT, <br /> CITY PROJECT 2025-20 <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the tabulation of bids received for City Project 2025-20, Galvanized Water <br /> Service Line Replacement Project, and presented to the Council herewith, be received and placed on <br /> file. <br /> Section 2. That the bid of Burdick Plumbing and Heating Company, Inc.be accepted and a <br /> contract in the amount of, not to exceed, $3,979,300 be awarded accordingly,pending Illinois <br /> Environmental Protection Agency(IEPA) approval of award and receipt of an IEPA loan offer for the <br /> project; and that a contingency for construction cost overruns be authorized in an amount not to <br /> exceed $397,930, for a total authorized expenditure of, not to exceed, $4,377,230. <br /> Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute a contract between the City of Decatur, Illinois, and Burdick Plumbing and Heating <br /> Company, Inc., attached hereto as Exhibit A and made part hereof, for said plan, in the amount of not <br /> to exceed, $3,979,300; after TEPA loan approval. Contingencies in the amount of$397,930 will be <br /> included in the IEPA loan, when eligible, for construction cost overruns for a total not to exceed cost <br /> of$4,377,230. <br /> Section 4.
