ECONOMIC & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> No. 2026-34 <br /> April 20, 2026 <br /> TO: Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council Members <br /> FROM: Melissa Hon, City Manager <br /> Lacie Elzy, Economic & Community Development Director <br /> Michael Snearly,Neighborhood Inspections Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Resolutions Authorizing the Extension of Agreements for the Mowing of <br /> City of Decatur Owned Lots, and Privately Owned Lots. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the approval of the attached resolutions <br /> authorizing the extension of agreements with mowing contractors to mow and maintain <br /> City of Decatur owned lots, and mow privately owned property that is in violation of City <br /> Code Chapter 48 until December 31, 2026. <br /> BACKGROUND: In 2025 Council approved agreements with mowing contractors to <br /> mow and maintain City of Decatur, and privately owned lots across the six (6)mowing <br /> districts within the City of Decatur. These agreements had the option of a second-year <br /> extension of mowing for the 2026 season. All contractors accepted the extension offer, <br /> and the following resolutions will be approving this extension. All pricing and <br /> stipulations from previous approved agreements will remain in full effect until December <br /> 31, 2026. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections to these resolutions. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Should the City Council have any questions,they may contact, <br /> Michael Snearly at 217-424-2783, or at msnearly@decaturil.gov <br />
