RESOLUTION NO. R-3-O A) ,_ 1-3-3 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF DECATUR TO ENTER INTO <br /> AN AGREEMENT WITH MCKENNA ASSOCIATES INC. FOR THE <br /> PREPARATION OF A UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur maintains development regulations governing land use, <br /> subdivision design, site development, and related activities within the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, staff has determined that a comprehensive review and modernization of the <br /> City's development regulations through the creation of a Unified Development Ordinance is <br /> necessary to reflect current planning practices, development trends, and community needs; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, McKenna Associates, Inc., a professional planning and consulting firm, is <br /> qualified to perform such services. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. The proposed agreement between the City of Decatur and McKenna <br /> Associates, Inc. for professional services related to the preparation of a Unified Development <br /> Ordinance, attached as Exhibit A, is hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of <br /> the City. <br /> Section 3. The agreement includes a base contract amount of$123,540 and a contingency <br /> amount of$10,000, for a total authorized amount not to exceed$133,540. <br /> Section 4.
