ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br /> No. 2026-41 <br /> June 15, 2026 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and City Council <br /> FROM: Melissa Hon, City Manager <br /> Lacie Elzy, Economic and Community Development Director <br /> Michael Snearly,Neighborhood Inspections Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Resolutions Authorizing the Execution of Agreements with Hutchins Excavating <br /> for the demolition of 1729 N. Church, and 804 W. Wood, and with Steve's <br /> Trucking for the demolition of 277 W. Prairie, and 1705 N. Main. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the approval of the attached <br /> resolution authorizing the execution of agreements for demolition of said dwellings. <br /> BACKGROUND: The properties at 1729 N. Church, 804 W. Wood, 277 W. Prairie, and 1705 <br /> N. Main were put out for bid along with nine (9) other structures. These four structures crossed <br /> the threshold requiring council approval for demolition. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: No known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Michael Snearly,Neighborhood Inspections Manager. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Michael Snearly at 217- <br /> 450-2347 or msnearly(i decaturil.gov. <br />
