ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ' TIME AND PLACE OF OPENING BIDS: ' Sealed proposals for the improvement described herein will be received at the City Purchasing Division located on the first floor of the Civic Center, #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, until 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 16, 2015, and thereafter publicly ' opened and read. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: ' The proposed improvement is officially known as: 2015 ANNUAL WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT ' FOREST CREST SUBDIVISION CITY PROJECT 2015-10 ' The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: ' Installing water main and associated appurtenances on St. Louis Bridge Road, Alice Lane, and File Drive to include 180'of 10" directionally bored HDPE pipe, 960'of 12"DIP, 5,500 feet of 8"DIP, and 200'of 6"DIP. ' An Alternate bid is provided to add the installation of 1,200'of 8"DIP on Baker Lane. ' The work also includes erosion control, items of pavement and landscape restoration, and traffic control. ' INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: 1. Plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from Decatur Blue Print, ' Inc. 230 West Wood Street, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, (217) 423-7589, www.decaturblue.com. ' 2. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in the Public Works Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the Decatur Civic Center. In addition to project questions, the opportunity will be provided to discuss the City's ' minority participation goals. Attendance at this meeting is not required to bid on the project. 3.
