' l BURDICK PLUMBING & HEATING CO. 111111011 Street,Decatur,IL 62521 ' Phone:217-429-2385 Fax:217-429-9781 M[{qsMrU<(00"'Wo P.O.Box 496 ' Gentlemen, To summarize our efforts to reach MBE contractors/supplier on these projects our efforts are as follows: ' 1) Advertised in the Herald and Review June 4th and 5cn 2) E-mailed each contractor on the "Minority Contractor Listing" supplied by the City of Decatur. 3) Researched the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) website for MBE suppliers. 4) Made numerous phone calls in an attempt to find interested parties to bid on these projects. Results from our efforts: ' 1) We did not receive any response from the advertisement in the Herald and Review. 2) We asked that ALL contractors respond to our email request by fax or email to state if they were interested ' or not on bidding on these projects. We received NO responses. Although we did have one phone call from a Mark Tyus he indicated that he was not interested in providing any pricing on this project. 3) We found a potential supplier from the CMS report. We had a number of phone conversations with MBE Construction Services about suppling material for these projects. They indicated that they would have to ' confirm that they had the right codes to supply the material that we had requested. I also asked that if they found that they could not supply materials that they please indicate that with a fax or email so I would have record of such. My last attempt to complete this was the afternoon of 6/15/15. We received no response ' from these people after numerous attempts. 4) Most of my phone calls went unanswered, even with messages left no return calls.
