McElroy and City Council <br /> FROM: Tim Gleason, City Manager <br /> Billy Tyus,Assistant City Manager <br /> Richelle D. Irons, Director of Neighborhood Services <br /> SUBJECT: DCDF, Inc.,Annual Meeting and appointments <br /> For several years DCDF has been charged with addressing issues related to affordable housing within <br /> the City of Decatur.As stated in the March 5, 2001 amendment to the By-Laws of DCDF, Inc., the <br /> directors of the corporation shall be the Mayor, City Manager, City Treasurer, a department director <br /> of the City of Decatur as appointed by the City Manager and three at large directors appointed by <br /> members who shall serve at the pleasure of the members. Current at large Directors include Bishop <br /> Glenn Livingston,Tony Wilkins and William Francisco.All three were reappointed at the May 2014 <br /> council meeting and are all interested in remaining in their current positions as Directors. <br /> The last meeting of the directors was held on September 9,2014 (minutes attached)to discuss the <br /> utilization of funding from DCDF to assist with demolitions throughout the community to lessen the <br /> backlog of problem properties. Recently,two properties from Wells Fargo donated to DCDF. The <br /> properties need minimal rehabilitation and will be resold to low-income residents. <br /> Any questions can be forwarded to Richelle D.
