RESOLUTION NO. R 2015-44 <br /> RESOLUTION DESIGNATING HONORARY STREET <br /> - HORACE G. LIVINGSTON- <br /> WHEREAS, that on August 17, 2009 the City Council approved an Honorary Street Sign <br /> Program for the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, <br /> WHEREAS, on March 2, 2015 said program was amended in an attempt to more <br /> accurately represent applicants in the application process; and, <br /> WHEREAS, an Honorary Street designation shall be limited to individuals organizations, <br /> entities, and events that either had a significant lineage to the City or had a significant cultural, historical, <br /> or humanitarian impact on the City. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Council hereby designates the 600 Block of East Marion St. east <br /> of the intersection of Marion Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in honor of Horace G. <br /> Livingston for a period not to exceed ten(10)years from the date of this resolution. <br /> Section 2. That the applicant for this designation shall be responsible for the cost of the <br /> production and installation of the Honorary Street Sign. <br /> Section 3. That the cost shall be paid by the applicant prior to and as a condition of <br /> production and installation of the Honorary Street Sign. <br /> Section 4.
