McCrady, City Manager <br /> Gregg Zientara, Financial Management Director <br /> Deborah M. Perry, Purchasing Supervisor <br /> SUBJECT: Demolition of Property— 1332 W. Decatur St. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Anderson <br /> Backhoe Service, Inc. to remove asbestos, do necessary plumbing and demolish the property at <br /> 1332 W. Decatur St. <br /> BACKGROUND: This is a court ordered demolition. James R. Summers and Dawn C. <br /> Summers are the owners of the property. <br /> At this time, the successful bidder is not on the SAM (System for Award Management) list. This <br /> is a federal debar list used when federal funds are involved. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Neighborhood Services requested the demolition. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Wendy Morthland, Corporation Counsel, 424-2807. Richelle Irons, <br /> Director of Neighborhood Services, 424-2864. Wendy and/or Richelle will be at the council <br /> meeting to answer any questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $21,000.00 from Community Development Block Grant. <br />
