ORDINANCE NO. 2008-28 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT AND <br /> APPOINTING ACTING CITY MANAGER <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Agreement between the City of Decatur and John Smith for the <br /> appointment by the City of John Smith as Acting City Manager be, and the same is hereby, <br /> received, placed on file and approved. <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and <br /> directed to sign, seal and attest said Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> Section 3. That effective May 3, 2008, John Smith be, and he is hereby, appointed <br /> Acting City Manager of the City of Decatur for all purposes as set out in the statutes of the State <br /> of Illinois and pursuant to the terms of the Agreement authorized hereby, and until further order <br /> of the Council. <br /> PRESENTED, PASSED, APPROVED AND RECORDED this 2nd day of May, 2008. <br /> PAUL OSBORNE, MAYOR <br /> ATTE$Tj; <br /> CITY CLER <br />
