RESOLUTION NO. M014-112 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BINDER COVERAGE WITH ARTHUR J. GALLAGHER RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICES,INC. AND ACCEPTING PROPOSALS OF MUNICH RE,LIBERTY MUTUAL AND TRAVELERS INDEMNITY COMPANY WHEREAS, the City of Decatur has a current contract expiring September 30, 2014, and is in need of insurance covering property, casualty and, workers compensation for the period October 1,2014 through September 30,2015; and WHEREAS,Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. has secured quotes on the City's behalf for insurance covering property, casualty, and workers compensation for the period October 1, 2014 through September 30,2015; and, WHEREAS. Munich RE has submitted a quote to supple general liabilitx. automobile liability, law enforcement liability, employee benefits liability, errors and omissions, property and automobile physical damage insurance in the amount of$320,377.00; and, WHEREAS, Liberty Mutual has submitted a quote to supply excess workers compensation insurance in the amount of$625,248.00; and, WHEREAS, Travelers Indemnity Company has submitted a quote to supply excess property insurance in the amount of$77,943.00; and, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the quote of Munich RE to supply general liability, automobile liability, law enforcement liability, employee benefits liability, errors and omissions, property and automobile physical damage insurance in the amount of$320,377.00 to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved. Section 2. That the quote of Liberty Mutual to supply excess workers compensation insurance in the amount of $625,248.00 to the City of Decatur be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved. Section 3. That the quote of Travelers Indemnity Company to supply excess property insurance in the amount of $77,943.00 to the City of Decatur- be, and the same is hereby, accepted and approved. Section 5. That the City Manager and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the Client Authorization to Bind Coverage with Arthur- J. Gallagher Risk Management Services for the above mentioned services in accordance with the quotes as submitted by said companies.
