EXI IIBIT "B" ORDINANCE NO. 2014-43 ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF SANITARY SEWAGE AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER INTO STORM SEWERS OR DRAINAGE FACILITIES CONSTRUCTED IN CONJ NCTION WITH THE BUSINESS ROUTE US 51 OVER LAKE DECATUR WHEREAS, the CITY OF DECATUR has entered into an AGREEMENT with the STATE OF ILLINOIS, for the improvement of approximately 0.211 mile of Business US 51 (FAP Route 710, Section (48X-B-2) BR & (48BR) BR; CITY Section 14-00422-00-BR) in Decatur by replacing the bridge decks on the two structures carrying Business Route LIS 51 over Lake Decatur; and, WHEREAS. this improvement includes the construction of storm sewers and/or appurtenances for highway drainage; NOVO', THEREFORE, BE IT ORDk1NED, BY THE CITE' COUNCIL, OF THE CITE' OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to connect., or cause to be connected, any drain carrying or to carry any toilet. sink, basement, septic tank, cesspool, industrial waste or any fixture or device discharging polluting substances into any storm sewers constructed as part of this improvement. Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating this ordinance shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars (5;10.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($:500.00) for each offense. and a separate offense shall be deemed committed for each and ever),day during which a violation continues or exists. Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit three (3) certified copies of this Ordinance to the Illinois Department of Transportation tlnr-ough its District Engineer's Office at Effingham. Illinois.
