Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Agreement <br /> Page 6 of 23 <br /> members, described as follows: <br /> (a). Members of the Initial Governing Board — The <br /> individuals designated on Exhibit A will be members <br /> of the Initial Governing Board of ILEAS and shall <br /> serve until such time as their successors are elected <br /> or appointed, as the case may be. <br /> ( ).b Com of the Governing Boards of ILEAS after <br /> Composition 9 <br /> the Initial Governing Board members have served <br /> their term shall be as follows, who shall serve until <br /> such time as their successors are elected or <br /> appointed, as the case may be: <br /> • 16 elected members representing eight (8) <br /> established ILEAS regions — there shall be one <br /> elected Sheriff member and one elected Chief of <br /> Police member from each of the eight (8) <br /> established ILEAS regions and the elected Sheriff <br /> member and the elected Chief of Police member <br /> shall be designated as the "Co-Chairs" from that <br /> region; <br /> • a permanent, non-elective Governing Board <br /> membership for the Illinois State Police Director or <br /> the Director's designee, <br /> • a permanent, non-elective Governing Board <br /> membership for the President of the Illinois <br /> Association of Chiefs of Police or that President's <br /> designee, <br /> • a permanent, non-elective Governing Board <br /> membership for the President of the Illinois <br /> Sheriffs Association or that President's designee. <br /> • two permanent, non-elective Governing Board <br /> memberships for the City of Chicago, Illinois or <br /> those persons designated by the Superintendent <br /> of Police, Chicago, Illinois. <br /> Subject to the foregoing provisions of this <br /> subparagraph (b), no Public Agency shall be <br /> permitted to designate (as a candidate for election or <br /> appointment) a Governing Board Member unless that <br />
