' ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TIME AND PLACE OF OPENING BIDS: Sealed proposals for the improvement described herein will be received at the City Purchasing Division located on the first floor of the Civic Center, #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014, and thereafter publicly opened and read. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: 1 The proposed improvement is officially known as: CORLEY LANDFILL SEDIMENT PLACEMENT CITY PROJECT 2 14- C 0 02 This project is to excavate approximately 11,000 cubic yards, potentially up to 13,310 cubic yards, of sediment from the City's dredge sediment basin at Stare Road and Angle Crossing Road near Oakley, haul and place it at the Corley Landfill site near Route 51 and South Side Drive in Decatur. The work will include installing and maintaining erosion control and spreading the sediment material at the site. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: 1. No refund will be made for the plans, specifications, or proposal forms returned. 3. Anderson Plaza Decatur, Illinois 62523 4. The City of Decatur will not release the Engineer's Estimate of Cost in advance of the scheduled time and date of the bid opening.
