McCrady, City Manager <br /> Wendy Morthland, Corporation Counsel <br /> Sean Gadberry, Neighborhood Inspections Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Unsafe Structures <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: An item on the agenda for the meeting of June 2, 2014 <br /> is a resolution authorizing action regarding unsafe structures. This is the second step, after the <br /> posting of a structure as unfit, which initiates the demolition process. City staff recommends <br /> approval. <br /> BACKGROUND: This is the beginning of the process seeking court-ordered demolition of <br /> unsafe and abandoned structures throughout the community. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None anticipated at this time. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Legal Department staff. <br /> STAFF REFERENCES: Any questions may be forwarded to Sean Gadberry at 424-2794, or <br /> email at sgadberry _decaturil.gov <br /> BUDGETITIME IMPLPICATIONS: This list of demolitions will be funded specifically through <br /> CDBG dollars. This action can vary, but is usually completed in 6 months from initiating the <br /> case. <br />
