RESOLUTION NO.R2014-98 I.ESOLUTION AUTBORIZING AN AGREEMENT N'ITE THE STATE OFILLINOIS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BUSINESS U.S. 51 OVER LA ISE DFCA'I UR CITY PRO,TECT 2014-22 WHEREAS, the STATE m order to facilitate the free flow of traffic and insure safety to the motoring public, is desirous of improving BUSINESS US 51 (FAP Route ?10, Section (48X-B-2) BR (48BR) BR. CITY Section 14-00422-00-13R) at structures (NB #058-()01() and SB #05S-0040 1 carrying BUS US 51 over Lake Decatur at the south edge of the CITY by replacing the bridge deck on both bridges and replacing the back wall and bearings on the southbound bridge, installing new light poles and luminaires, installing a drainage m stein, pavement markings and guardrail and any other work required to complete this section. NOV1' THERLFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIME CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That in compliance with the aforementioned AGP.EENIENT, it is necessary for the CITY of DECATUR to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the cost of said improvement; Section 2. That the. CITY OF DECATUR has appropriated the sum of Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($420,000.00) or so much thereof as may be necessary, from any money now or hereafter allotted to the Citi- of Decatur to pay its share of the cost of this improvement as provided ire the AGREEMENT: and Section 3. That the CITY OF DECATUR agrees to pass a supplemental resolution to provide am, necessary funds for its share of the cost of this improvement if the amount appropriated herein proves to be insufficient to cover said cost. Section 4. That the Clerk shall immediately transmit three (3) certified copies of this resolution to the district office of the. Department of Transportation, at Effingham, Illinois.
