Leafland <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding contract to Don Roderick, <br /> Inc. to remove asbestos, do necessary plumbing and demolish the property at 1412 E. Leafland. <br /> BACKGROUND: This is a court ordered demolition. The unknown heirs, devisees, legatees <br /> and claimants of Kermit L. Nichols (deceased) are the owners of the property. <br /> At this time, the successful bidder is not on the SAM (System for Award Management) list. This <br /> is a federal debar list used when federal funds are involved. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Neighborhood Services requested the demolition. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Billy Tyus, Assistant City Manager for Development Services, 424- <br /> 2727. Richelle Irons, Director of Neighborhood Services, 424-2864. Sean Gadberry, <br /> Neighborhood Inspections Administrator, 424-2794. Billy and/or Richelle will be at the council <br /> meeting to answer any questions the council may have about this purchase. <br /> BUDGET: $21,310.00 from Community Development Block Grant. <br />
