Appendix A <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> • October 19, 1998—The City Council approved a resolution authorizing Clark Dietz, Inc. to <br /> provide engineering services for the City of Decatur Stormwater Master Plan Update. <br /> • January 11, 2006, February 23, 2006 and May 10, 2006—The City Council met in Special <br /> Sessions to discuss Short and Long Term Community Goals. The City Council identified <br /> infrastructure improvements as a short term community goal. City Staff in the May 10 meeting <br /> reported that they hoped to start the development of an infrastructure master plan in October <br /> 2006. <br /> • February 2, 2006—The Storm Water Ordinance was presented to the City's Planning <br /> Commission who gave the ordinance a favorable recommendation. <br /> • February 21, 2006- Council met in Study Session to discuss a Storm Water Ordinance, which <br /> would replace Chapter 38, Soil Erosion. <br /> • March 6, 2006- Council approved Ordinance No. 2006-13, amending City Code Chapter 38, <br /> Storm Water Ordinance. <br /> • August 15, 2007—The City Council met in a Special Session to Review Short and Long Term <br /> Community Goals. The components of the city's Infrastructure Master Plan were discussed and <br /> the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure(now Public Works) emphasized the need for <br /> storm sewer improvements. <br /> • September 2, 2008—The City Council approved resolution R2008-132 authorizing Clark <br /> Dietz, Inc. to provide engineering services for the update of the Stormwater Master Plan. <br /> • January 20, 2009—The City Council received Council Memorandum 2009-06 that provided an <br /> update on the Stormwater Master Plan <br /> • March 28, 2009—The City Council met in Study Session for the purpose of a Review of the <br /> City Manager's Recommended Budget for FY 2009/2010 Engineering and Infrastructure <br /> Department. The Director presented information on Engineering and Infrastructure(now Public <br /> Works)budget items, including the continuation of storm sewer master planning. <br /> • July 20, 2009—The City Council met in Study Session for the purpose of a Review of the <br /> Stormwater Master Plan—Phase 12009 Update—Pre-Final Report. <br /> • August 3, 2009—The City Council met in Study Session and directed staff to negotiate an <br /> amendment to the agreement with Clark Dietz, Inc. for the Stormwater Master Plan Update. <br /> The amendment was to include professional services to further investigate stormwater funding <br /> alternatives and to update the City's Storm Drainage Policy document. <br /> Page 14 <br />
