' ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ' TIME AND PLACE OF OPENING BIDS: ' Sealed proposals for the improvement described herein will be received at the City Purchasing Division located on the first floor of the Civic Center, #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, until Aebruary 2a, 2014, 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 6, 2014, and thereafter publicly opened and read. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The proposed improvement is officially known as: ' 2014 ANNUAL WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT SOUTH SIDE DRIVE / MEDIAL DRIVE ' CITY PROJECT 2014-10 The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: • Medial Drive under Route 51: Installing a 100' casing pipe and DIP under Route 51 with ' jack and bore construction along with 135' of DIP water main on Medial Drive. • South Side Drive near Ward Branch: Install 200' of 14" HDPE directionally bored water main, 400' of 12" DIP water main including 40' that is directionally bored, 100' of 24" ' steel casing pipe and 12" DIP under South Side Drive with jack and bore construction. • Other items of traffic control and restoration.
