ORDINANCE NO. 2015- 13 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF <br /> ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR 100 BLOCK SOUTH OAKLAND VENUE <br /> BETWEEN WEST MAIN STREET AND WEST WOOD 4k TREET <br /> - LOCK STOCK& BARREL/OAKWOOD BUSINESS ASSOCIATION- <br /> WHEREAS, Lock Stock & Barrel/Oakwood Business Association has requested the <br /> closure of the 100 block of South Oakland Avenue between West Main and West Wood Street <br /> for Block Party Events; <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of Lock Stock & Barrel / Oakwood Business Association <br /> to offer alcoholic beverages for sale to patrons for consumption at this event; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in the 100 lock South Oakland <br /> Avenue between West Main Street and West Wood Street requires the e press approval of the <br /> City Council. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours <br /> listed, alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the 100 Block South Oakland Avenue, between <br /> West Main Street and West Wood Street, said days and hours being paiticularly described as <br /> follows: <br /> Saturday, May 9,2015 12:00 p.m. — 1 :59 p.m. <br /> Saturday, July 11, 2015 12:00 p.m. — 1 :59 p.m. <br /> Saturday, August 22, 2015 12:00 p.m. — 1 :59 p.m. <br /> Saturday, September 19,2015 12:00 p.m.— H:59 p.m. <br /> Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed as provided herein unless such <br /> alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup. <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is expressly conditioned and approved upon Lock Stock <br /> and Barrel/Oakwood Business Association providing to the City of Decatur an agreement which <br /> will hold the City harmless for any and all damages incurred by persons a ending this event and <br /> indemnifying the City for any and all damages and lawsuits. <br /> Section 4. That except as otherwise provided herein, the provisions of Section 34(a) of <br /> Chapter 52 of the City Code remain in full force and effect. <br />
