ORDINANCE NO. 2014-75 ORDINANCE APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM PITY TREASURER WHEREAS, Ryan McCrady, City Manager of the City of Decatur has submitted his resignation effective on or about December 28, 2014; and, WHEREAS, Gregg Zientara was appointed City Treasurer for a term commencing May 31, 2012 and ending April 30, 2015; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Zientara has been appointed Interim City Manager effective upon McCrady's resignation; and, WHEREAS, Mayor Michael T. McElroy has requested this Council to assent to and approve the appointment of Melinda Hawbaker as Interim City Treasurer for the term Zientara serves as Interim City Manager. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the request for approval of appointment by the Mayor of Melinda Hawbaker as Interim City Treasurer be received and placed on file. Section 2. That said request be, and the same is hereby, approved, and said person be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to be appointed to said respective office for the term commencing on the date Zientara begins his duties as Interim City Manager and continuing until Zientara ceases to act as Interim City Manager, or until her respective successor is appointed and qualified. Section 3. That the existing provisions of applicable ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, to the extent of such conflicts be, and the same are hereby modified to conform with the provisions hereof, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
