EXHIBIT `B" <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2014-43 <br /> ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE F <br /> SANITARY SEWAGE AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE WA R INTO <br /> STORM SEWERS OR DRAINAGE FACILITIES CONS UCTED <br /> IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BUSINESS ROUTE US 51 OVER LAKE DECATUR <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY OF DECATUR has entered into an AGREE NT with the <br /> STATE OF ILLINOIS, for the improvement of approximately 0.211 milof Business US 51 <br /> (FAP Route 710, Section (48X-B-2) BR& (48BR) BR, CITY Section 14.00422-00-BR) in <br /> Decatur by replacing the bridge decks on the two structures carrying Business Route US 51 <br /> over Lake Decatur; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this improvement includes the construction of storm sealers and/or <br /> appurtenances for highway drainage; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to C�onnect, or cause to <br /> be connected, any drain carrying or to carry any toilet, sink, basement, septic tank, cesspool, <br /> industrial waste or any fixture or device discharging polluting substances �nto any storm <br /> sewers constructed as part of this improvement. <br /> Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating this ordinance sh 1 <br /> o1 be fined not less <br /> than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) r each offense, <br /> and a separate offense shall be deemed committed for each and every day uring which a <br /> violation continues or exists. <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its pas age, approval and <br /> publication as provided by law. <br /> Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit three (3) ertified copies of <br /> this Ordinance to the Illinois Department of Transportation through its Di rict Engineer's <br /> Office at Effingham, Illinois. <br />
