ORDINANCE NO. 2014-27 ORDINANCE AMENDING Ordinance#3512, as amended, Section iI,Definitions and Section XVLA, Permitted Uses in the M-1 Intense Commercial—Light Industrial District WHEREAS, on the 5t" day of June, 2014, upon due notice, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public hearing on the petition of Billy Tyus, Assistant ity Manager, to modify and amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur, the same being Ordinance No. 3512, as amended, and, WHEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission did report its findi6ngs and did recommend that said petition be granted and that the Zoning Ordinance bel so modified and amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the report and recommendation of the Decatur Ci Plan Commission be, and the same are hereby, received, placed on file and app oved. Section 2. That Section II of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur(Ord. No. 3512 as amended) be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding new definitions titled"MEDICAL CANNABIS DISPENSING ORGANIZATION, DISPENSING ORGANIZATION, OR DISPENSARY ORGANIZATION" and"CULTIVATION CENTER" and placing them in alphabetical order. Said new definitions to provide as follows: SECTION II. DEFINITIONS CULTIVATION CENTER: means a facility operated by an org4nization or business that is registered by the Department of Agriculture to perform necessary activities to provide only registered medical cannabis dispensing organizations with usable medical cannabis as defined, amended and regulated by the State of Illinois, 410 ILCS 130/10 et. seq. .I And MEDICAL CANNABIS DISPENSING ORGANIZATION, DIS ENSING ORGANIZATION, OR DISPENSARY ORGANIZATION: a facil ty operated by an organization or business that is registered by the Department f Financial and Professional Regulation to acquire medical cannabis from a reg stered cultivation center for the purpose of dispensing cannabis, paraphernalia, or related
