ORDINANCE NO. 2014-24 <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF <br /> ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR— CENTRAL PARK <br /> ANNUAL SUMMER BLUES CONCERTS <br /> WHEREAS, for the past several years a Summer Blues Concert program has <br /> been held in Central Park; and, <br /> WHEREAS, as written in City Code Chapter 52, Section 8, Temporary Permit, it <br /> is the intention of a local not-for-profit agency to sponsor a Summer dues Concert and <br /> to offer beer and wine for sale to patrons for consumption at each evert; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor in Central Bark or 300 North <br /> Water Street, requires the express approval of the City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best intere�t of the local not- <br /> for-profit agency and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as <br /> described be permitted for said limited time period. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the <br /> hours listed opposite each, only those alcoholic beverages listeo below may be <br /> consumed in Central Park located in downtown Decatur, said days and hours being <br /> particularly described as follows: <br /> Thursday, June 19, 2014 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Boer and Wine Only <br /> Central Park <br /> Thursday, July 17, 2014 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Beer and Wine Only <br /> Central Park <br /> Thursday, August 21, 2014 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Beer and Wine Only <br /> Central Park <br /> Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed as provided herein <br /> unless such alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup. <br /> Section 3.
