COUNCIL MEMORANDUM <br /> #2014-04 <br /> DATE: March 12, 2014 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Michael T. McElroy and City Council <br /> FROM: Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Amendment to Chapter 52, Section 36 <br /> Separation of Alcoholic Liquor Sales <br /> BACKGROUND: Currently if more than 50% of the gross income of any licensed <br /> premises is derived from the sale of goods other than alcoholic liquors, such alcoholic <br /> liquors must be displayed for sale in a separate section of the premise <br /> COUNCIL CONSIDERATION: Council is asked to consider removing Section 36 of <br /> Chapter 52 to allow alcoholic liquor to be placed in other areas throughout the premise. <br /> Staff recommends approval. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: There are no budget or time implications. <br /> STAFF CONTACTS: Questions regarding this can be directed to C ty Manager Ryan <br /> McCrady at 424-2801 or by email at Rmccrady(aD_decaturil.gov. <br />
