<br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE
<br /> - CHAPTER 7 - OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES GENERALLY-
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI OF DECATUR,
<br /> ILLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter 7 of the City Code of the City of Decatur be,
<br /> and the same is hereby, amended and modified, so that as so_ amended and modified
<br /> said Section 2 of Chapter 7 shall provide as follows:
<br /> 2. APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL. The City Manager shall have
<br /> the power and authority to appoint and remove at will the Assistant City
<br /> Managers, all directors of departments, all deputy and assistant
<br /> department directors, fire marshals, battalion chiefs, police personnel
<br /> above the rank of sergeant, division managers, administrative secretaries,
<br /> members of the Legal Department, Personnel Specialists, Training Officer,
<br /> Human Rights Officer, Systems Administrator, Senior Systerrs Analyst,
<br /> Systems Analyst, Auditor, Risk Management Assistant, Water Customer
<br /> Service Manager, Street and Sewer Maintenance Supervisor, Civil
<br /> Engineer I, Civil Engineer Il, GIS Specialist, Fleet Supervi or, Water
<br /> Production Maintenance Supervisor, Water Production Operations
<br /> Supervisor, Engineering Services Coordinator, Supervisor of Technical
<br /> Services, CAD System Coordinator, Police Records Supervisor, Water
<br /> Distribution Supervisor, Traffic and Parking Supervisor, City Forester,
<br /> Foreman, Economic Development Officer, Building Inspections Manager,
<br /> Senior Planner, Planners, Planning and Development Manager, Senior
<br /> Crime Analyst, Crime Analyst, Emergency Communications Manager,
<br /> Emergency Communications Supervisors, Neighborhood Inspections
<br /> Administrator, Neighborhood Program Specialist, Enterprise Zone
<br /> Administrator, and temporary and seasonal employees.
<br /> Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
<br /> cause the provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause
<br /> the same to be published in pamphlet form according to law.
