Coventry and Carlos G. Fior, requesting the vacation by the City Council of public walkway right-of-way in the City of Decatur, Illinois legally described as: All of the ten(10) foot wide walkway located between Lot 11, Block 2 and Lot 1, Block 5 of Southmoreland Place as per Plat recorded in Book 300, Page 122 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, more r articularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 11 in Block 2 of said Southm reland Place; thence Northeasterly along the East line of said Lot 11, 163.7 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 11, also being on the West Right of Way 1 ne of Lost Bridge Road; thence Southeasterly along the said West Right of Way line of Lost Bridge Road, 10.0 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 5 of said Southmoreland Place; thence Southwesterly along the North line of said Lot 1, 166.0 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence Northwesterly 10.0 feet to the point of the beginning; and, WHEREAS, said public walkway right-of-way is no longer useful to 1he public or to the City or to the owners of the properties abutting thereon as public walkway right-of way; and, WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said public walkway right- of-way and the public will be relieved from the further burden and responsibility of maintaining the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNC L OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the above described public walkway right-of-way b , and the same is hereby, vacated inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interest will be subserved by such vacation, said public walkway right-of-way being shown on the plat thereof hereto attached and hereby made a part hereof. Section 2. That the benefits which will be accrued to the owners of abutting properties by reason of the vacation aforesaid is determined to be, in the judgment of th .Council, equal to the sum of Four Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($415.00).
