Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of a Stop Sign at the Intersection of <br /> S. Calhoun Street and E.Johns Avenue Facing S. Calhoun Street <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends the approval of the attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of a stop <br /> sign at the intersection of S. Calhoun Street and E. Johns Avenue facing S. Calhoun Street. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> On July 25 2013, the Traffic & Parking Commission approved a reque t from City staff <br /> recommending that a stop sign be installed at the intersection of S. Calhoun Street and E. Johns <br /> Avenue with the stop signs facing S. Calhoun Street. <br /> SCHEDULE: Installation is normally completed within 10 days of Council a thorization. <br /> BUDGET AND STAFFING IMPLICATIONS: Budgetary impacts are approximately $250 <br /> for the installation of the requested signs and pavement markings and approximately 2 hours of <br /> staff time to make and install the signs. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, at 424- <br /> 2747 <br /> Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> Richard Marley, Public Works Director, will be in attendance at the City Coun it meeting to <br /> answer any questions of the Council on this item. <br /> Attach: 3 <br /> Cc: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> Page 1 <br />
