Hook: 4321 Page : 859 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2013-59 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS DESIGNATING THE <br /> SOUTHSIDE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois (the "City") is a mur icipal corporation <br /> established pursuant to the Municipal Code of the State of Illinois and ha jurisdiction over <br /> matters pertaining to its government and affairs; <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois has heretofore in Ordinance <br /> No.2013-58 adopted and approved the Southside TIF Tax Increment Redev elopment Plan and <br /> Project (the "Redevelopment Plan") with respect to which a public hearing was held on June 3, <br /> 2013, and it is now necessary and desirable to designate the area referred to in said <br /> Redevelopment Plan as a Redevelopment Project Area, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THEMAYOR AND CITY <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS THAT: <br /> SECTION ONE: The area described in EXHIBIT A, which is a tached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein, is hereby designated as a Redevelopment Project Area ( o be known as the <br /> "Southside Redevelopment Project Area") pursuant to the Real Prope y Tax Increment <br /> Allocation Redevelopment Act, 65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-4. <br /> SECTION TWO: From and after the effective date of this Ordinance, he proper officers, <br /> agents and employees of the City are hereby authorized, empowered and dirc cted to do all such <br /> acts, including the sending of appropriate notices as required by the Act, and to execute all such <br /> documents as may be necessary to carry out the intent and accomplish the purposes of this <br /> Ordinance. <br /> SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance is adopted pursuant to Ho ne Rule Authority <br /> granted the City of Decatur by Article 7, Section 6, of the Illinois Constitution, 1970, and the <br /> Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-1 et seq.). <br /> SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately af-.er its passage and <br /> approval. <br />
