Hook: 4321 Page : 859 ORDINANCE NO. 2013-59 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS DESIGNATING THE SOUTHSIDE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois (the "City") is a mur icipal corporation established pursuant to the Municipal Code of the State of Illinois and ha jurisdiction over matters pertaining to its government and affairs; WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois has heretofore in Ordinance No.2013-58 adopted and approved the Southside TIF Tax Increment Redev elopment Plan and Project (the "Redevelopment Plan") with respect to which a public hearing was held on June 3, 2013, and it is now necessary and desirable to designate the area referred to in said Redevelopment Plan as a Redevelopment Project Area, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THEMAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS THAT: SECTION ONE: The area described in EXHIBIT A, which is a tached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby designated as a Redevelopment Project Area ( o be known as the "Southside Redevelopment Project Area") pursuant to the Real Prope y Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, 65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-4. SECTION TWO: From and after the effective date of this Ordinance, he proper officers, agents and employees of the City are hereby authorized, empowered and dirc cted to do all such acts, including the sending of appropriate notices as required by the Act, and to execute all such documents as may be necessary to carry out the intent and accomplish the purposes of this Ordinance. SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance is adopted pursuant to Ho ne Rule Authority granted the City of Decatur by Article 7, Section 6, of the Illinois Constitution, 1970, and the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-1 et seq.). SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately af-.er its passage and approval.
