ORDINANCE NO. 2013- 4 4 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR 100 BLOCK SOUTH OAKLAND AVENUE BETWEEN WEST MAIN STREET AND WEST WOODSTREET - LOCK STOCK& BARREL/OAKWOOD BUSINESS ASSOC I XATION- WHEREAS, Lock Stock & Barrel/Oakwood Business Association has requested the closure of the 100 block of South Oakland Avenue between West Main and West Wood Street for Block Party Events; WHEREAS, it is the intention of Lock Stock & Barrel / Oakwood Business Association to offer alcoholic beverages for sale to patrons for consumption at this event; and, WHEREAS such consumption of alcoholic liquor in the 100 Bl ck South Oakland p q Avenue between West Main Street and West Wood Street requires the exp ess approval of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed, alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the 100 Block South Oakland Avenue, between West Main Street and West Wood Street, said days and hours being particularly described as follows: Saturday, May 11, 2013 9:00 a.m. —2:00 4.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 2:00 p.m. — 11:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 2:00 p.m. —2:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 2:00 p.m. —2:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 2:00 p.m. —2:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 2:00 p.m. — 1:00 p.m. _Saturday,_October_12, 2013 _ ___ ___2:0Q_p.m._7-2:004: .m. Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed as provided herein unless such alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup. Section 3. That this ordinance is expressly conditioned and approv d upon Lock Stock and Barrel/Oakwood Business Association providing to the City of Decatur I,an agreement which will hold the City harmless for any and all damages incurred by persons attending this event and indemnifying the City for any and all damages and lawsuits.
