Application should be made to the Chief of Police at least-fourteen-0 A) days prior to the <br /> event. <br /> 2. APP lication shall include: <br /> a_ Name, address, and phone number of sponsor(s). <br /> b. Streets/area proposed for use. <br /> c. Signed petition(s) containing signatures of sixty percent (60%) of e occupants of the <br /> affected area that they have knowledge of the proposed event and do not object. <br /> d. Names, addresses, and phone numbers of those responsible for clean up after the event. <br /> e. Purpose/objective of the proposed event. <br /> 3. If the permit is granted, the event is subject to the following condition and regulations: <br /> a. Sponsors may furnish their own barricades or they may be furnished by the City upon <br /> request. If barricades are needed for this event, it will be the responsibilit of the sponsors in <br /> charge of the event to coordinate the picking up of barricades, setting up, t4king down and <br /> returning of all road closure material with the Division of Municipal Services, The Municipal <br /> Services Center is located at 2600 N. Jasper and their telephone number is $75-4820. Please <br /> allow five business days for the MSC to plan for the event. Barricades are Jo be readily movable <br /> and visible to motorists. After sundown, adequate lighting shall be provided on such barricades. <br /> b. Local and emergency traffic shall be given access at all times. <br /> c. The consumption of alcohol on a public right-of-way is prohibited `Vithout permission <br /> from the City Council. For information, contact the City Clerk at 424-270$. <br /> d. "Live" bands or amplified music is discouraged in or near residential areas. Complaints <br /> from citizens will be acted upon. Failure to terminate such activity may result in arrest of the <br /> responsible party. <br /> e. All litter shall be removed and the site restored to its original condi ion at the conclusion <br /> of the event. <br /> f. Persons involved shall be liable for damages as stated in the City off Decatur Ordinance <br /> Chapter 41, Section 7: "Any person who shall place, or leave, or cause to be placed, or left any <br /> eneroaclunent, obstruction or encumbrance in or upon any street, alley, avenue, or sidewalk, shall <br /> in all cases be liable to the City and to private persons for all injury or daanage arising <br /> therefrom." <br /> g. If at any time a complaint is made of a violation of State or City Ordinance involving the <br /> event. permission to hold the event is hereby revoked. <br /> Arnerica's Aarihusiness Center <br />
