I� <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2013-27 <br /> I <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS SET ING <br /> JUNE 3,2013 AS THE PUBLIC HEARING DATE FOR THE PROPOSED <br /> SOUTHSIDE TIF TAX INCREMENT REDEVELOPMENT PLA AND <br /> PROJECT AND RELATED MATTERS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois (the "City") is a municipal c rporation <br /> established pursuant to the Municipal Code of the State of Illinois and has jurisdiction <br /> over matters pertaining to its government and affairs; <br /> WHEREAS, the City,pursuant to the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment <br /> Act, 65 ILCS 5/11-74.4-1 et seq. (the "Act"), is contemplating the adoption o the <br /> Southside Redevelopment and Project Area(the"Area") (legal description is attached <br /> hereto) and the Southside TIF Tax Increment Redevelopment Plan and Project (The <br /> "Plan") and the establishment of Tax Increment Financing for the Area; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council (the "Corporate Authorities") of the City, in the <br /> interest of due process, wishes to hold a public hearing after proper notice to all interested <br /> parties as required by the Act and to consider the adoption of the Area, the Plan and Tax <br /> Increment Financing after the City receives all public comment from all interested parties <br /> as required by the Act; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE M YOR <br /> AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS THAT: <br /> 1. Pursuant to Section 5 of the Act, a public hearing concerning the ador tion of the <br /> Area, Plan and Tax Increment Financing shall be held on Monday, Jude 3, 2013 at <br /> 5:00 P.M. in the first floor meeting room of the Decatur Civic Center,! 1 Gary K. <br /> Anderson Plaza in Decatur, Illinois. <br /> 2. From and after the effective date of this Ordinance, the proper officer , agents and <br /> employees of the City are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do all <br /> such acts, including the sending of appropriate notices as required by he Act, and <br /> � 1 <br />
