The subject site is approximately 10 acres and is located at the former Spen�er Park. <br /> 2. Properties to the north, south and east were approved for rezoning to M: -2 Heavy Industrial <br /> District by the City Council in July 2012. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> 1. The petitioner proposes to rezone from R-3 Single Family Residence District to M-2 Heavy <br /> Industrial District. ADM is rezoning to create a universal zoning classification between ADM <br /> owned properties, including newly acquired former Spencer Park. <br /> STAFF ANALYSIS <br /> 1. The surrounding zoning includes M-2 Heavy Industrial District to the north, south and east and <br /> R-3 Single Family Residence District to the west. The Macon (County and Decatur <br /> Comprehensive Plan shows this area as Open Space. The proposed u�e is compatible with <br /> adjacent uses to the north, south and east. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Staff recommends approval of the rezoning. <br />
